Past Weekend
My friends from Japan were late in calling me for stuff this weekend. Silliness.
I saw Johnny Come Latelies on Saturday night, after a long afternoon of board gaming. (I won at Ticket to Ride, Power Grid, and Einfach Genial...hrm...strangely, each of the three we played.) The middle game took too long, by the by.
I saw the first half of the JCLs on Sunday night, after the Mariners-Red Sox game. My first ball game, since I was age 8 with my godfather. I caught up with my friends from Japan at the next bar, where it's apparently half-off everything on Sundays. Crazy.
End marks - I'll give JCL a 3.5 out of 5. They performed just fine, but I didn't get a good feel for the style of music - kind of all over the board.
