Music

Congratulations to the RIAA.

I mean it. You were thorough in your task - chase people away from filesharing. I never even really did it, but you can bet your favorite knickers I had friends who were into the scene. I did have to tell the IT department that the rampant filesharing was screwing the network connection. (I didn't like that art director so much anyways. He was divisive, favoring some illustrators over others, a bit sexist...you've seen the type.)

Not to say I didn't receive the benefits of filesharing. My friends always had new bands for me to listen to. And man, I spent way too much money on CDs during that period. I went from buying 3-4 CDs every couple of months, to buying 3-4 CDs a week! I can only imagine that I'd be destitute in some alley, begging for some spare change to acheive my fix for the day.

Well, now I've kicked my habit. No more new CDs for me. I buy used CDs only. Except for bands on tour. Yeah. I hope you're happy with your new lifestyle.

I'm certainly happy with mine.
